Mike Hill 10k/5k Run
The LAKEFEST Mike Hill 10k began in 1976 when Mike Hill, HK Cooper, and Bill Magruder worked to see that a race was included in the bicentennial celebration. Mike Hill was an important part of our community life. He encouraged businesses and people throughout the community to get involved in the LAKEFEST celebration and in the race. It was known as the LAKEFEST 10k until Mike's untimely passing in 2007. The race was then changed to the LAKEFEST Mike Hill 10k. Since then, a 5k has been added.
This year will mark the 54th anniversary of Jamestown's Independence Day Celebration and the 44th running of the LAKEFEST 5K/10K. In 2018, we debuted a new racecourse. We think the new route makes for an even better running experience!
Registration is now open! Click the link below and be a part of history as you race for the J-Town Triple Crown!

The Return is a highly acclaimed Beatles tribute band based in Griffin, Georgia. Known for their era-specific authenticity, they recreate the classic 1964–1966 touring years of the Fab Four by using exact replicas of vintage instruments, tailored suits, and authentic mop-top hairstyles.
History & Origins
The band was formed in 1995 when four high school friends from Griffin, Georgia got together in their chorus class to play Beatles songs for fun. After a spur-of-the-moment live performance where they surprised the crowd by dressing up and acting like the Beatles, the overwhelmingly positive response led them to play regular gigs. Initially performing under the name "The Roaches," they eventually took their act to a professional level and rebranded as "The Return".
Current Lineup
The band has maintained its core lineup for over 15 years, consisting of:
Richard Stelling as John Lennon
Shane Landers as Paul McCartney
Michael Fulop as George Harrison
Adam Thurston as Ringo Starr
